How can I withdraw my balance?

You can use the USDC cash out feature on portal.recur.com. USDC is a digital dollar that can be exchanged 1:1 for cash through a third-party. See instructions here for how to cash out to USDC and exchange USDC for cash.

Cash out will be available until November 16, 2023.

Can I withdraw my topped up balance?

Starting on August 31, you can withdraw any balance that remains in your RECUR account, including top ups. Follow the same steps as above to withdraw your topped up balance.

Can I continue to access my NFTs?

To continue accessing your NFTs, you will need to withdraw your NFTs to a self-custodied wallet on the blockchain of your choosing before November 16, 2023. If you do not withdraw your NFTs prior to that date, you will no longer be able to access your NFTs.

For all experiences Powered by RECUR, you will need to withdraw your NFTs through the portal.recur.com website.

For all experiences Built on RECUR, please follow along in their respective communities for any updates about what’s next for their NFTs.

Please note: the blockchain that you use to withdraw your NFTs will be final as you will no longer be able to transfer across blockchains on the RECUR platform after November 16, 2023.

By November 22, 2023, RECUR will migrate all NFT media and metadata to IPFS. The IPFS network is a decentralized storage protocol that enables data to be retrievable in perpetuity, without RECUR. Assets will be hosted using the Filecoin decentralized storage network.

What happens to unopened packs after November 16, 2023?

Any packs on the blockchain must be deposited on portal.recur.com in order to open them. Once they’re opened, you can withdraw their contents. Both the deposits and withdrawals must occur prior to November 16, 2023. After that time, packs will continue to exist as NFTs, but can no longer be opened.

Will my NFT metadata still be accessible?

Yes. RECUR will transition all NFT metadata and graphical assets to IPFS, a decentralized storage protocol that enables data to be retrievable without RECUR, and ensure the assets are hosted using the Filecoin decentralized storage network.

What’s next for experiences Powered by RECUR?

It’s at each brand’s discretion to decide how they want to license and manage their intellectual property moving forward.

What’s next for experiences Built on RECUR?

RECUR is offering to transfer each Builder customer full ownership of their smart contract. If they choose to take control of their smart contract, they can set up their experience on a new platform and continue to manage it as they see fit. If they choose not to take control of their smart contract, the NFTs will continue to be accessible via IPFS. Please follow along in their respective communities for any updates.

How can I log into my account if I’m based in Singapore or Australia?

Users based in Singapore or Australia who use SMS verification to log into their accounts may experience issues receiving SMS messages and therefore may be unable to log in. To resolve this, you will need to change your verification method to TOTP (using an authenticator app). No later than August 25, 2023, we will launch a new webpage where all users based in Singapore or Australia will be able to change their verification method to TOTP and then log in successfully to withdraw any NFTs or funds. We will make an update here once the webpage is ready, and in the meantime you can read more about both verification methods here.
